Murloc Angling Centre is an angler’s paradise which is fast becoming Ireland’s number one spot for fishing, nestled in the peaceful rural interface of Counties Antrim, Armagh and Down at Old Church Lane, Aghalee. It is situated within easy access of the A26 Moira to Airport Road as well as being within close proximity to Moira train station.

Opened on 1st July 2008, it comprises of a five-acre lake dedicated solely to fly fishing. There is also a bait pond for all legal fishing methods ideal for a family day out where you can make use of the BBQ and picnic areas. A range of equipment is available for hire; this includes rods and three 19ft boats. The first class facilities include a unique log cabin which houses reception, a tackle shop and snack/hot food area, as well as providing excellent disabled access overall.

Murloc also offers Junior Angling classes and casting instructions with experienced tuition as well as hosting various Angling Competitions. Corporate groups are made very welcome and the centre is open all year round.

Fishing permits and rod licences are available for purchase.
