The building also houses the Head Quarters of Lisburn City Council and the Mayor of Lisburn’s Office. There is also a Council Chamber on site and Council meetings are conducted on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Tours of the building can be arranged by pre-booking. The site is built along the bank of the Lagan and there is a tow path located on site which leads to Belfast. This walk is very popular with walkers and cyclists.

At the front of the building there is a working canal with lock gates. The building and surrounding area are very picturesque and make the building a very pleasant location to visit.

Wedding ceremonies and receptions are also catered for within the building with a capacity for up to 250 for a seated dinner. The landscaped grounds and proximity to Castle Gardens make it a perfect location for a wedding.
