Fiona Kerr grew up with her family in the rolling hills of the Scottish Borders, being brought up in this rural countryside gave her an early appreciation of nature which would prove invaluable in later life.
She holds a degree in Three Dimensional Design and has continued to hone her skills though experience and specialist jewellery training.
Moving to Northern Ireland in the mid 90’s Fiona gained extensive knowledge in Jewellery making techniques and manufacture by working in the Trade for many years before taking the decision to set up her own business in 2002.
From simple beginnings Fiona has gradually built her portfolio of contemporary jewellery, her innovation, attention to detail and exacting eye for quality ensures her reputation as one of Northern Ireland’s most notable jewellery designers.
Now celebrating over 10 years in business she has recently relocated from the North Antrim Coast to the beautiful Lakelands of County Fermanagh and continues to draw inspiration from her surroundings.
Fiona creates her contemporary jewellery designs in her new workshop, combining contrasting textures and polished surfaces in silver and gold, highlighting many of the designs with a variety of precious and semi-precious stones.
She says: “I like to design and make jewellery that has a modern, contemporary feel, making the wearer feel elegant, effortlessly”.
Fiona continues to show her work through exhibitions, galleries and outlets in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and further afield, as well as from her studio workshop in Ballinamallard Cou Fermanagh.
