The O’Neill’s story, Tullaghoge Fort and Hill of the O’Neill

Lough Neagh Events May 2018 - Walk in the footsteps of the O'Neill clan by visiting Tullaghoge Fort, the inauguration place of the great O'Neill before moving on to the Hill of the O'Neill where the O'Neills resided from. Learn about this powerful clan and their role in shaping the history of the Island of Ireland.

Please note: Bus departs from and returns to the Burnavon, Cookstown.

From 1106 to 2018, join us as we walk in the footsteps of the O’Neills, visiting their inauguration site at Tullaghoge Fort and encountering myths and truths as we uncover historical facts to help us understand this powerful dynasty.

Following on from this, the tour will travel a minute section of the county the O’Neills ruled before arriving at their former place of residence. Now known as The Hill of The O’Neill, you will feast upon their fascinating history before enjoying a banquet on the top of the hill.
