Shane’s Castle May Day Steam Rally is one of the largest Steam Events in Ireland and is situated at the beautiful Shane’s Castle.
This year over 30 Steam Engines & 10 Models are expected along with living vans, organs and machinery demonstrating how they worked in bygone times.
A Fun Fair, Mobile Farms and Punch & Judy shows are among the attractions for the younger and not so young visitors.
Vintage, classic and kit cars, classic and vintage tractors, and military & commercial vehicles will fill the rally field along with motorbikes and stationery engines.
There will be a variety of Trade Stands on the field and a Craft Marquee which is always a big attraction.
A military campsite along with vehicles and a display from Company B will include demonstrations of firing a mortar in the main arena.
