The annual Purple Turnip Festival returns to Lisburn with Halloween family fun activities in Market Square on the 29th and Navigation House on the 30th. 29th October 12-4pm Market Square, Lisburn City Centre Take part in the Purple Turnip Hunt, dance on the interactive light floor and enjoy free craft activities. Transform into a scary goblin or pumpkin with face painting and get up close and personal with a wide range of exotic animals, if you’re brave enough!
Come along to Navigation House on Sunday 30th October for storytelling and turnip tales with Billy Teare and Kathleen O’Sullivan, scary scar makeup and face painting with PatArt Face Painting & Glitter Tattoo Belfast NI, and a lantern parade along the tow path with harvest inspired characters. If that’s not enough, taste apple tart treats and tasty pumpkin soup from Kindergardencooks (you can even take part in pumpkin planting) whilst listening to acoustic sounds!
