Featuring Lore, Érui and Bellaghy Folk Choir
HomePlace is delighted to present a second showcase evening of the best of local musical talent from the Mid-Ulster area. Hosted by Johnnie Armstrong, the concert will feature performances by Bellaghy Folk Choir, Érui and Lore.
Four piece indie-folk group Lore have gone from strength to strength since releasing their second EP ‘Believe’ in spring 2016. With recent appearances in UK and Irish festivals and playlisted on national radio the band has supported international touring acts such as Cara Dillon, Kila and Ciaran Lavery.
Érui fuse their rich Gaelic tradition with influences from European music and song and elements of jazz, and perform predominantly in the Irish language. Combining uilleann pipes, bouzouki, rich vocals and harmonies with a repertoire from Edith Piaf to the Beatles translated into Irish, Érui bring a fresh approach to Irish traditional and folk music.
Bellaghy Folk Choir will open this celebratory evening with their uplifting sound, perfect to celebrate the best of musical talent from the local area.
