Join the RSPB at the Family Nature Adventure for a week of family activities where you can learn all about our local diversity from those who fly to those hiding under logs.
Come along every day or drop in on the days that suit.
Children (aged 4 -11) must be accompanied by an adult.
Monday 22 – What is Biodiversity?
‘Bioblitz’ – a walk through the grounds of Antrim Castle Gardens. See how many plants, creatures and homes for nature you can find.
Tuesday 23 – I spy with my little binoculars
Using RSPB binoculars we will become ornithologists for the morning.
Wednesday 24 – Minibeast Safari
Today we are off on safari but we won’t need Land Rovers or binoculars instead we will be getting close to the ground in search for the mini creatures that help make our planet so diverse and our soil so rich.
Thursday 25 – Woodland Animals
Who’s living in the woods – we are going to be detectives today and see what clues we can find of animal life within the woodlands.
Friday 26 – The Lungs of the Planet
We will be looking at the biggest plants that grow, our trees, we will measure their height and tell their age without cutting them down, maybe you will find one the same age as you.
