9th August – 11th August 2016
Time: 10am – 1pm
Venue: Lough Neagh Discovery Centre
Running from Tuesday 9th – Thursday 11th August, the Archaeology for Children Programme aims to educate children (7 to II year olds) in some of the techniques that Archaeologists use to discover the past.
Through a range of activities the children will explore dinosaurs, skeletons, fossils, early man, Vikings and monks and the World Wars. The children will also sample different types of writing e.g. runes and the different kinds of architecture e.g. pyramids associated with each culture.
As children will be working with plaster and mud, old clothes and sturdy footwear should be worn.
Cost is £5 per child per day. Places are limited and booking is essential for this event. Please contact the Discovery Centre for further details and bookings.
