5 Great Kid’s Days Out to Enjoy Before the End of Summer

With the end of summer upon us and children heading back to school soon, now is the perfect time to spend the last few days of summer with them enjoying some of Lough Neagh's greatest spots for kids.

Clementsmount Fun Farm

Located just outside of Crumlin, Clementsmount Fun Farm is a fantastic spot with a variety of fun activities for kids of all ages. With a range of indoor and outdoor activities to please everyone including a petting barn, pedal go karts, soft play area, trim trail, pony rides and more, there’s no end to the fun waiting to be had. The wonderful Crumlin Glen is a short distance away and serves as a great way to see out the day.

Funky Monkeys Lurgan

A fantastic indoor soft play area located in the heart of Lurgan, Funky Monkeys is a perfect spot for children aged 8 and under to have bundles of fun. With a range of exciting features including rollers, slides, sky glides and dizzy discs amongst much more, it’s sure to keep the young ones plenty busy.  Lurgan Public Park is a short drive away for a quiet walk around the beautiful grounds to settle them down afterwards.

Drum Manor Forest Park

Drum Manor is a fantastic spot for a family day out with kids with it’s beautiful forest, serene pond and enchanting remains of the old manor that once stood in the grounds, there is plenty for inquisitive children and parents alike to enjoy. At the end of the walk there is also a fantastic, modern play area which kids are sure to love. A short drive from Cookstown and a variety of amenities, Drum Manor is a fantastically versatile day out. Adventure World in Cookstown is only a short drive away for any families looking for even more fun.

One of the best locations for outdoor activities around Lough Neagh, The Jungle NI is a fantastic spot to enjoy an impressive range of activities for all ages. With activities including from the kid’s tree top adventures, kid’s adventure games, zorbing, archery and llama treks, there is a massive amount of fun to be had for children of all ages. Located conveniently outside Moneymore, it’s also only a short drive from Springhill House for any families looking to extend the fun.

Antrim Forum

Located just off of the River Maine in Antrim Town, Antrim forum is an easy to access leisure centre with plenty to offer the entire family. Kids will love the swimming pool facilities and the 10 pin bowling is sure to go down a treat. The on-site café offers a perfect place to relax and unwind after all this fun. Antrim Forum is perfectly located near Antrim Castle Gardens and the Loughshore Park, offering a number of great options for a walk afterwards.
